Support artists while they are alive.
A group show featuring Seattle-area Living Artists.
It’s time for another gallery-style group show, this time featuring artists who have exhibited with us in any capacity in the past going all the way back to our 2020 “Open House” show. Several artists have been with the Living Artists Collective since the beginning, and we wanted to honor them and all the others with whom we have made connections along the way.
Happening at the beautiful Sand Point Arts & Cultural Exchange gallery in Magnuson Park, this show’s work was chosen by juried panel and is organized around Living Artists Collective’s founding inspiration: ”Support artists while they are alive; the dead ones don’t need your money”. We as a group believe that creatives are performing a vital job as the city’s culture-makers, and that it’s time to fairly pay them according to the value we get from their work.
The 23 artworks by 21 people selected for this show investigate topics affecting our participating artists: understanding the human condition, the purpose for existing, getting paid as an artist in an expensive city, fostering relationships, and more. You’ll notice tones of the macabre, the inevitable passage of time, and the unapologetically human animal.
Events.
As usual, we will have several activities coinciding with the gallery show to bring folks into the space, interact with the art, and meet each other:

How you can help.
We need donors, business sponsors, and volunteers to make these events possible. Artists will be given financial awards for winning the jury favorite and people’s choice votes; the more you donate, the more we can put towards these awards.
Here’s a preview of some artwork. There are many pieces in this show utilizing unique mediums and methods.
You can see even more artwork previews on our events page. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for the most current updates. We can’t wait to see you at the show!
